Jennifer Betit Yen is a multifaceted individual with a remarkable career spanning acting, writing, and production. Additionally, she has written the book The Opposite of a Fairy Tale and co-written the screenplays for La La Land, IWATTAU, Mirror Mirror, My Not So subConscious, and The Opposite of a Fairy Tale.
Jennifer has received recognition for her work, with mentions in The New York Times and Backstage Magazine. Jennifer's educational background includes a degree from Cornell University and a law degree from Boston University School of Law. She currently serves as the President of the Film Lab, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting diversity in the arts.
Jennifer has also created the IWATTAU project, which aimed to spark a constructive dialogue about immigration by sharing the hopes and fears of New Yorkers from diverse backgrounds. The project was showcased through a multi-media platform, and the stories inspired a stage production of the same name.
