Jenny Mackenzie is a renowned documentary filmmaker, dedicated to creating films that inspire and effect positive social change. Her impressive body of work includes the films "Kick Like a Girl", "Where's Herbie?", "Sugar Babies", "Lead With Love", "Dying in Vein", "The Opiate Generation", and the critically acclaimed 2018 Sundance & Emmy-award winning film "Quiet Heros". Most recently, her film "The Right To Read" is set to be released in the spring of 2023.
Throughout her career, Jenny's films have been featured on prominent broadcast and VOD channels such as HBO, HULU, PBS, and Amazon, garnering praise from esteemed publications like the New York Times, the Washington Post, and the Boston Globe.

Born and raised in a family of accomplished individuals, Jenny is a graduate of Brown University and holds a Ph.D. from the University of Utah. As the daughter of Will Mackenzie and aunt of Farrah Mackenzie, she has been shaped by a rich cultural heritage.
Throughout her career, Jenny has maintained a strong partnership with the Utah Film Center, collaborating with them for over 15 years. Additionally, she serves as an assistant professor in documentary film production at Utah Valley University, inspiring and mentoring the next generation of documentary filmmakers.
