Jeremy Stulberg, ACE is a renowned veteran documentary filmmaker and editor, boasting an impressive portfolio of award-winning projects. His latest editing work, showcased in Move Ya Body: The Birth of House (2025),directed by Elegance Bratton and produced by Roger Ross Williams, is set to premiere at the prestigious Sundance 2025.
Prior to this, Jeremy edited and wrote Sabbath Queen (2024),Executive Produced by Darren Aronofsky and directed by Sandi Simcha Dubowski. This highly acclaimed film tells the story of a queer activist rabbi reinventing Judaism in a rapidly evolving 21st century. After premiering at the Tribeca Film Festival, Sabbath Queen received multiple festival awards, a theatrical release, and was named a New York Times Critics' Pick.
As a Sundance Documentary Fellow, Jeremy has received grants and funding from numerous organizations, including the New York State Council on the Arts, The Sundance Documentary Fund, The Tribeca Film Institute, and ITVS, among others.
Additional highlights in his extensive career include his work as consulting editor on Laura Poitras's Terror Contagion (2021),which premiered at Cannes and was shortlisted for the Academy Award, and was distributed by NEON. He also produced and edited Growing Up Coy (2016),a multi-award-winning film that was acquired by Netflix.
Jeremy has also directed, produced, and edited Broken Heart Land (2014),a PBS/ITVS co-production, and his debut feature, Off the Grid: Life on the Mesa (2007),premiered on The Sundance Channel, winning eight Best Documentary awards and earning a Gotham Award nomination.
In addition to his documentary work, Jeremy has produced and edited nationally airing social-issue documentaries, including The Education of Shelby Knox (2005),Young Lakota (2012),and series such as Vice (2020),Children of the Underground (2022),Woman with Gloria Steinem (2016),and Gaycation (2016). He also edited Todd Stephens's queer cult comedy Another Gay Movie (2006).
