Jessica has devoted her entire life to facilitating progress and advancement within Indigenous communities, a commitment that spans two decades. Throughout her extensive career, she has worked tirelessly with Indigenous peoples across Canada, primarily through her company 7 Forward Entertainment, to break the cycles of inter-generational trauma that have plagued these communities for far too long.
Jessica's purpose within the film and television industry is deeply rooted in her philanthropic endeavors, which are centered on supporting Indigenous youth who are struggling to come to terms with their identities, the racism they face, the lateral violence and bullying they experience, and the displacement they suffer as a result of trauma, abuse, adoption, and other forms of marginalization. She is also a passionate advocate for justice for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls.
In 2022, Jessica will star alongside Zahn McClarnon and Kiowa Gordon in the highly anticipated television series "Dark Winds," which is produced by Robert Redford, George R.R. Martin (the acclaimed creator of Game of Thrones),and Graham Roland, and airs on the AMC Network.
