After completing her high school education, Jiji embarked on a higher educational journey by enrolling in the esteemed Theatre Arts program at New Mexico State University. Throughout her academic tenure, she demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, successfully cultivating a trifocal expertise in the disciplines of acting, make-up artistry, and costume design.
Following the successful culmination of her formal educational pursuits, Jiji embarked on a journey to Chatham, New York, with the aim of fine-tuning her skills at the esteemed MacHaydn Theatre.
During her summer sojourn, she took on the dual roles of wig designer and wardrobe assistant, thus further enhancing her proficiency in her craft.
This invaluable experience served as a catalyst, igniting her passion for the burgeoning film industry within her home state of New Mexico.
As Jiji settled back into her native New Mexico, she embarked upon a personal odyssey to cultivate a professional career as a skilled and accomplished makeup artist. In order to hone her craft and develop the requisite proficiency, she threw herself into a plethora of low-budget short films and features, thereby accumulating an impressive array of practical experience and industry expertise. Her inaugural feature film credit was the movie "Naked Fear," a milestone achievement that marked the beginning of her ascent in the competitive world of filmmaking.
Jiji's unwavering commitment to her artistic endeavors led to her induction as a member of IATSE Local 480, the esteemed film union in New Mexico, in the year 2007. This significant milestone in her career was a testament to her tireless dedication to her craft, particularly in the realm of make-up artistry.
Meanwhile, her passion for acting remained steadfast, and she never lost sight of her aspirations to succeed in this field. As a result, she took a pivotal step in 2006 by signing with an agent, thereby opening doors to a plethora of future opportunities.
Jiji's entry into the esteemed realm of Screen Actors Guild (SAG) commenced in the sweltering summer of 2008, marking a significant turning point in her illustrious career. At this juncture, she secured the pivotal role of a mother, whose life was irreparably altered by a catastrophic car crash, in the feature film "Inhale." Starring alongside the talented Dermot Mulroney, this milestone performance showcased Jiji's remarkable range and versatility as an actress.
Subsequently, her impressive credentials continued to grow as she made a notable appearance in the television series "Crash."
