Jim, a character actor, studied theatre and film at Indiana University, laying the foundation for his future endeavors. He then spent several years in Chicago honing his skills as a stuntman under the guidance of John Hicks Pearce, contributing to the development of The Chicago Stunt Team. Furthermore, Jim attended and managed The Degerberg Academy of Martial Arts for several years, demonstrating his dedication to his craft.
Jim's early foray into the film industry began with precision driving for Nora Ephron's film Michael, showcasing his versatility. He also appeared on Discovery Channel, the SyFy Channel, and alongside Emmy winner Margo Martindale in the film Scalene, solidifying his early success.
In 2016, Jim made the move to Atlanta, capitalizing on the growing entertainment industry as an actor, editor, DP, and instructor. Since his relocation, Jim has secured roles in various notable projects, including Marvel's The Gifted, ABC's Kevin Probably Saves the World, Netflix's House of Cards and Ozark, CBS' The Inspector's, and NBC's Chicago PD, to name a few.
Jim has also had the privilege of working on several independent features alongside esteemed talent, such as Columbus with John Cho (Star Trek) and Parker Posey (Lost in Space),Reparation with Jon Huertas (This is Us) and Marc Menchaca (Ozark),Between Waves with Amy Jo Johnson (Covert Affairs, Flashpoint) and William Russ (Boy Meets World, Bosch).
When not in front of the camera, Jim has also made a name for himself behind the scenes, working on projects like Dead Draw (1st AD) with Gil Bellows (The Shawshank Redemption) and the short E-Bowla (Cinematographer & Editor) with Will Chase (Nashville) and Ingrid Michaelson (singer/songwriter). Additionally, Jim has worked as an editor on projects like Homecoming and has contributed to numerous music videos.
