Jimmy Blais, a talented individual of Plains Cree and Canadian descent, has garnered widespread recognition for his captivating portrayal of Watio in the critically acclaimed Comedy series, Mohawk Girls, which received a prestigious Canadian Screen Award nomination.
Born and raised in the vibrant city of Montreal, Jimmy's passion for the performing arts was evident from a young age. He went on to pursue his academic interests in theatre at Concordia University, where he earned a degree in Theatre Performance.
With over 15 years of experience in the industry, Jimmy has been consistently pushing his creative boundaries. Most recently, he has had the privilege of performing at the esteemed Stratford Festival, a testament to his remarkable talent and dedication.
As a founding member of PlayShed, Jimmy has been instrumental in bringing innovative and engaging productions to the stage. In addition to his acting credits, he is also a skilled writer and director, having won the coveted Best Film award at the ACTRA short film festival for his work on Café de Paris.
This outstanding achievement was further recognized when the film was selected as an official entry at the prestigious L.A. Comedy Fest, a distinction that solidifies Jimmy's status as a rising star in the entertainment industry.
