Jing Tian's journey in the entertainment industry began with her graduation from the prestigious Beijing Dance Academy and Beijing Film Academy, Department of Chinese Film and Television.
In 2006, she released her debut music EP, "Who are you", under King Sweet music, marking the beginning of her multifaceted career.
Her breakthrough in acting came in 2010 when she starred in the TV show "Yi ge nü ren de shi shi" for 13 episodes, which was followed by a string of successful film appearances, including "My Belle Boss" (2010) and "The Warring States" (2011).
In 2013, she landed a role alongside Jackie Chan in "Police Story: Lockdown", further cementing her status as a rising star in the Chinese film industry.
Her subsequent roles in "The Glory of Tang Dynasty" (2014) and "The Great Wall" (2016) showcased her versatility as an actress, with the latter being a major international production.
Notably, Jing Tian accepted the role of Lin Mei, commander of the Crane Troop, in "The Great Wall" because of her admiration for director Yimou Zhang. In preparation for the role, she spent a year in the United States learning English and underwent extensive martial arts training.
In 2017, she starred alongside Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson in the blockbuster film "Kong: Skull Island", followed by her role in "Pacific Rim: Uprising" (2018) alongside Cailee Spaeny.
