Jishnu Raghavan Alingkil, a cinematic icon in the Indian film fraternity, was affectionately known by his mononym Jishnu, and his illustrious career was deeply rooted in the Malayalam film industry. Born to a renowned actor, Raghavan, Jishnu's lineage in the world of cinema was undeniable. His father, also a skilled director, had the distinction of helming Jishnu's debut film, Kilipatt, which earned widespread recognition and acclaim, being selected for the prestigious Indian Panorama, a testament to the film's exceptional quality and Jishnu's promising acting talent.
Jishnu's life was brutally and prematurely terminated on March 25, 2016, at Amrita Hospital in Kochi, after a grueling and unyielding struggle against a pair of life-threatening diseases, throat and lung cancer, which had relentlessly plagued him for a period of two years preceding his untimely demise.
