Joe recently completed co-writing the film adaptation of the off-Broadway play, Kid Champion, which gained widespread recognition during the 1970s due to the iconic performance by Christopher Walken.
Prior to this, Joe had a string of notable feature credits, including the critically acclaimed I Melt With You, where he shared the screen with an impressive ensemble cast comprising Carla Gugino, Thomas Jane, Jeremy Piven, Rob Lowe, and BAFTA nominee Christian McKay.
In 2005, Joe made his Sundance Film Festival debut, starring in the Official Sundance Selection and multiple award-winning film Swallow, directed by Frank E. Flowers. Following the success of Swallow, Joe was cast in the controversial film Snuff Movie, directed by cult filmmaker Bernard Rose, who is also known for his work on Immortal Beloved.
Joe's portrayal of Pvt. Billy Babcock in George Romero's remake of The Crazies, directed by Breck Eisner, is a notable highlight in his filmography. His feature credits span a wide range of genres, from dramatic roles to action, broad comedy, and genre, with a notable collaboration with industry heavyweights such as Academy Award winners Holly Hunter, Gary Sinise, Timothy Olyphant, Radha Mitchell, and Annabella Sciorra, as well as producers Francis Ford Coppola, Rob Cohen, and Neil Labute, and directors Frank E. Flowers, Victor Salva, Eric Bross, and Breck Eisner.
In recent years, Joe has recurred on several top-rated TV shows, including Chicago PD for NBC and Luc Besson's Taxi Brooklyn for NBC. He has also appeared in multi-episode arcs on a range of prime-time shows, including CSI, CSI:NY, CSI:Miami, Cold Case, Without A Trace, The Whole Truth, Castle, Hawaii 5-0, NCIS, and Criminal Minds, as well as the ABC pilot Edgar Floats. His comedy TV credits include The Next Generation Wayans for BET and Hollywood Heights for Nickelodeon. Joe recently wrapped filming on CSI:Cyber opposite Patricia Arquette.
Currently, Joe splits his time between Los Angeles and New York.
