Joel is a renowned filmmaker hailing from Brisbane, Australia, with a diverse slate of feature films and television series projects currently in various stages of development.
These projects include the horror-comedy film "Followers" through Continuance Pictures, slated to begin production in November 2025, as well as the action-drama series "Fighting Spirits" with Wirrim Media, which is currently in development.
As a writer, Joel has had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed industry mentors. During the Screen Australia-funded development of their television project "The'C' Word", Joel worked alongside Julie Eckersley, the current Head of Scripted at SBS, who is known for her work on "The Family Law" for SBS, and seasoned screenwriter Roger Monk, who has credits on "Nowhere Boys" for STAN.
In 2024, Joel co-directed the film "Outpost", which was officially selected for the Darwin International Film Festival. Their latest short film, "Voyager", was recently officially selected at the Beverly Hills Film Festival in April.
