John's interest in acting was sparked by his friend, actor Kevin Corrigan, who encouraged him to pursue a career in the performing arts. On Kevin's recommendation, John enrolled in the prestigious Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute, where he spent three years honing his craft under the guidance of renowned instructors Geoffrey Horne, George Loros, and Irma Sandrey.
After completing his studies at Strasberg, John spent the next two decades working tirelessly in the Off and Off-Off Broadway theatre scene, showcasing his versatility as an actor, director, playwright, and producer. His extensive experience in live theatre laid the foundation for his successful transition to film and television, where he has continued to make a lasting impact.
