Biography

John Wayne Gacy, a malevolent and depraved American serial killer and pedophile, was brought into this world on March 17, 1942, a date that would eventually be overshadowed by the notoriety and infamy that would come to define his existence.

Tragically, Gacy's life would come to a close on May 10, 1994, a date that marked the end of a reign of terror that had left a trail of suffering and devastation in its wake.

Gacy's sinister and duplicitous persona, which he assumed the guise of "Pogo the Clown" or "Patches the Clown" during his performances at children's hospitals and charitable events, would earn him the haunting and chilling moniker of the "Killer Clown", a nickname that would serve as a constant reminder of the horrors he had unleashed upon the world.

John Wayne Gacy's despicable and inhumane criminal activities unfolded within the confines of his rural ranch house situated in the picturesque village of Norridge, nestled within the boundaries of Norwood Park Township, a suburban area situated in the metropolitan region of Chicago, Illinois. His modus operandi, a sinister and manipulative tactic, typically involved deceitfully luring unsuspecting victims to his abode, where he would utilize the guise of a magic trick to deceive them into donning handcuffs. Under the false pretense of a harmless magic trick, Gacy would then subject his captives to the most heinous and unimaginable acts of sexual violence and physical torture, ultimately leading to their brutal and inhumane demise through asphyxiation or strangulation with a garrote.

John Wayne Gacy, a notorious serial killer, buried twenty-six of his victims in the crawl space of his residence, while three others met their demise elsewhere on his property. Furthermore, four more unfortunate souls were callously discarded in the Des Plaines River, a grim testament to Gacy's depraved nature. Gacy's reign of terror began in 1972, and by the end of 1975, he had claimed the lives of at least three additional victims, bringing the total number of his known victims to six. His murderous spree continued uninterrupted following his divorce from his second wife in 1976, resulting in the deaths of at least thirty subsequent victims, a staggering total of at least thirty-six known victims.

The prolonged inquiry into the puzzling vanishing of Des Plaines adolescent Robert Piest ultimately culminated in the apprehension of John Wayne Gacy on December 21, 1978. Following his conviction for a staggering thirty-three murders, Gacy was condemned to death on March 13, 1980. He subsequently spent the remainder of his days imprisoned on death row at Menard Correctional Center, where he discovered a sense of solace and tranquility in his artistic pursuits, specifically painting.

On May 10, 1994, Gacy's life was brought to a sudden and inescapable conclusion through the administration of a lethal injection at Stateville Correctional Center.
