Johnson Phan was born on August 6th, 1980, in a refugee camp located in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, where his parents and older brother had sought refuge after escaping communism in Vietnam. The Canadian government soon intervened, facilitating the Phan family's safe transition to Canada, and they eventually settled in Vancouver, which would become their new home.
Growing up in Vancouver, Johnson developed a profound passion for Bruce Lee films and other martial arts action movies, which he would often watch with his family. These cinematic influences had a profound impact on his lifestyle, inspiring him to incorporate martial arts training, spiritual awareness, and a dedication to his mental and physical conditioning.
In 2003, with the support of friends and mentors, Johnson embarked on a career as an actor and stunt performer, driven by his love for martial arts and action films. His rigorous training, fueled by his passion for the craft, ultimately led to him landing a key role in the action feature "WAR," starring Jet Li and Jason Statham.
Today, Johnson remains based in Vancouver, continuing to hone his craft and grow as a performer, with aspirations to work internationally and in the United States.
