Jon Cooksey is a visionary showrunner and architect of multi-platform story universes who has profoundly impacted iconic entertainment across film, television, and digital mediums, captivating millions of viewers worldwide. His remarkable work has garnered numerous prestigious award nominations and wins, including Emmys, Humanitas, Geminis, Leos, Cable Aces, and Canadian Screen Awards, as well as accolades for his comedic feature documentary, How to Boil a Frog.

His impressive body of work includes his tenure as head writer and showrunner on Rugrats (TV and feature),as well as his genre work on shows like Primeval: New World, SPIDES, and Killjoys. Recently, Jon produced season 2 of the acclaimed web series Narcoleap and is currently shopping two pilots, one for the hour-long dramedy series The Studio for David Brady Productions and the other for the half-hour comedy Hood Island for Productions Wojack. He is also the writer and story architect for the Events at Unity Farm VR game with Titan1 Studios in Toronto, slated for release in late 2022. Jon's extensive credits as TV showrunner include Arctic Air, Shattered, The Best Years, and his original series The Collector. On the feature side, Jon has focused on historical fiction, penning recent scripts such as Los Angeles: Being the True Story of the Largest Lynching in the History of America, and the Birth of a City, a mystery thriller based on IP, as well as The Oracle's Wife, a biopic about M. King Hubbert, one of the most influential minds of the 20th century, and Hindenburg LZ-129, a film noir thriller that uses the famous disaster as a springboard.
