Biography

Jon Daugharthy, a native of Ottawa, Kansas, spent his formative years in Overland Park, Kansas, where he attended Shawnee Mission West High School and later graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science/Pre-Law and a minor in Business Finance.

His journey in the entertainment industry began on a dare during his sophomore year at K-State, when he auditioned for a summer job at Busch Gardens in Williamsburg, Virginia, and successfully landed the opportunity. This led to multiple contracts with Opryland Productions and Tokyo Disneyland, where he spent several summers singing.

After taking a break from performing, Jon pursued a law degree from Vanderbilt Law School and eventually settled in Kansas City, where he now works as both an actor and lawyer.

Throughout his career, Jon has appeared in various films, including State of Grace, Belong to Us, The American Artist: The Life & Times of George Caleb Bingham, and Matchmaker Mary. He has also accumulated over a hundred national and regional commercial/industrial acting credits, and has taken on leading roles in various musical theater productions at the American Heartland Theater, Chestnut Fine Arts Center, the Kansas City Symphony, Metropolitan Ensemble Theater, Music Theater Heritage, New Theatre & Restaurant, and Quality Hill Playhouse.

In his personal life, Jon is happily married to actress Michelle Daugharthy, and they have two daughters, Emery Daugharthy and Lily Daugharthy, together. He is also the proud step-father of Jenna Bickelhaupt.
