Jon Gentry hails from the vibrant city of Houston, Texas, where his love for the English language was first kindled. He went on to pursue his Bachelor of Arts in English at the prestigious Harvard University, where he was an integral part of the BlackCAST (Community and Student Theater),serving as the esteemed President of the organization. During his time at Harvard, he also completed an internship in Development at New Line Cinema, gaining valuable industry experience.
After completing his undergraduate degree, Jon further honed his craft by earning his Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the renowned American Conservatory Theater. As a teaching artist, he co-directed an original high school production of "Child Life" in collaboration with the UCSF Children's Hospital, and led a series of acting workshops with community centers throughout the Bay Area. His passion for teaching and mentoring has led him to become a member of the acting faculty at the Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory.
Jon's impressive acting career has taken him to numerous regional theaters throughout California, where he has showcased his talents to great acclaim. He has also been a guest artist in the Oregon Shakespeare Festival Culture Fest, further solidifying his reputation as a talented and versatile performer. However, it is his iconic voice role as 'Preston Garvey' in the popular video game Fallout 4 that has brought him widespread recognition and adoration from fans worldwide.
