Jonathan Fuller, a native of Birmingham, Alabama, hails from a rich artistic heritage, being one of the first alumni to emerge from the prestigious Alabama School of Fine Arts (ASFA). Upon graduating from ASFA in 1974, Fuller's artistic pursuits took him to the esteemed Art Institute of Chicago's Goodman School of Drama, where he earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1978. This marked the beginning of a fruitful career that would span multiple cities, including Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles, as he delved into the realms of theatre, television, and film.
However, in the aftermath of the 9/11 attacks, Fuller made the poignant decision to return to his hometown of Birmingham, Alabama, and assume the role of Artistic Director for the Theatre Arts Department at his alma mater, ASFA. It was during this period that he founded Birmingham's only Equity theatre company, City Equity Theatre, in 2006, a venture he continued to lead as Artistic Director until 2015. Furthermore, in the same year, Jonathan Fuller was selected as one of 21 professional actors to participate in the International Actors' Fellowship at Shakespeare's Globe in London, England.
