Biography

José Estrada Jr. is a celebrated Puerto Rican professional wrestler who has left an indelible mark on the World Wrestling Council, specifically as the illustrious Super Medico III. Within the esteemed organization, he collaborated with his father, the equally renowned José Estrada Sr., who was also known as Super Medico I, to form the dynamic and formidable duo known as the Super Medicos.

The father-son duo, comprising a familial unit, initially secured the WWC Caribbean Tag Team Championship from Rick Valentine and Eric Embry on November 10, 1990, marking a significant milestone in their wrestling careers.

However, their triumphant tenure was short-lived, as they ultimately relinquished the title back to the same team, Rick Valentine and Eric Embry, on December 15 of that year, thereby ending their brief reign.

Yet, undeterred by their initial setback, the father-son duo managed to reclaim their title on January 6, 1991, only to surrender it once more to Valentine and his new partner, Gran Mendoza, a mere 17 days later, thus concluding their tumultuous championship saga.

Super Medico III, a renowned professional wrestler, embarked on a singles competition journey, reaping notable success along the way. On April 20, 1991, he achieved a significant milestone by defeating the formidable American wrestler, Scott Hall, to claim the prestigious WWC Caribbean Heavyweight Championship.

Estrada's entry into the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) occurred in the summer of 1997, marking the beginning of his tenure as a key component of the prominent stable, Los Boricuas, alongside notable wrestlers Miguel Pérez Jr. and Jesús "Huracán" Castillo.

As a member of this prominent faction, Los Boricuas primarily engaged in intense rivalries with other influential stables, including the Nation of Domination and the Disciples of Apocalypse (DoA).

Unfortunately, the rivalry between Los Boricuas and DoA was met with widespread criticism, earning the distinction of being voted the Worst Feud of the Year by the esteemed Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

The professional wrestling tag team Los Boricuas, comprised of four members, made a significant appearance at WrestleMania XIV's tag team Battle Royal. The duo consisting of Savio and Miguel, as well as the pairing of José and Jesús, engaged in a thrilling match against each other on the Raw is War broadcast. This memorable encounter showcased the team's impressive skills and chemistry.

However, the team's lineup underwent a change when Vega departed the group in July. Despite this setback, the remaining trio of Savio, Miguel, José, and Jesús decided to continue competing as a tag team on Raw and Shotgun Saturday Night. They continued to entertain the audience with their high-flying moves and electrifying performances until October 1998, when their time as a team came to a close.

Tragically, the remarkable wrestling career of a distinguished grappler came to an abrupt and heartbreaking halt as a result of a devastating injury, which occurred during a high-stakes match against the formidable Edge, broadcast on the pivotal June 22nd, 1998 episode of Raw is War, a momentous event that would forever change the trajectory of his professional journey.

Following the demise of Los Boricuas, the group's erstwhile members, including the aforementioned Estrada, went their separate ways, each embarking on a new and uncharted path, as they navigated the ever-evolving landscape of the wrestling world.

In the subsequent stages of his illustrious wrestling career, the renowned professional wrestling veteran, Jorge "Skull" Estrada, made a significant foray into the esteemed realm of Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, leaving an enduring and profound impact on the storied world of professional wrestling, a testament to his unwavering dedication and unrelenting passion for the sport.
