Person Biography:
Pepe, a talented and accomplished filmmaker, has made a significant impact in the industry with his diverse range of projects. Born with a passion for storytelling, he pursued his education at the University of Southern California, earning a Master of Fine Arts degree in film directing from the USC School of Cinematic Arts.
His academic background is further supplemented by a degree in marketing from Harvard University and a Bachelor's degree from the Monterrey Institute of Technology. Pepe's dedication to his craft has earned him numerous awards, including the DGA Student Film Award for directing, the Kodak Award, the Barbara Corday Award, the USC Faculty 546 directing Award, and a Cinema Circulus Award for academic excellence.
With a strong foundation in filmmaking, Pepe has gone on to create and direct several successful projects. His latest limited series, AHORA QUE NO ESTAS, is an original Amazon MGM Studios series that he created, directed, co-wrote, and executive produced. The series is set to be released in December 2024.
Pepe's filmography includes COMO CAIDO DEL CIELO, a Netflix original musical comedy that he directed, produced, and co-wrote, which became the 2019's number one Spanish title in Mexico on Netflix. He has also directed, written, and produced several other notable films, including MAS SABE EL DIABLO POR VIEJO, LEGENDS, and HIDDEN MOON.
In addition to his work in film, Pepe has also been recognized for his work in television. His series, BELLEZA EN JUICIO, is currently in development, and he is also working on the films POLICY OF THE HEART and ALL THEY WILL CALL YOU.
