Julio Perillán, a man of multifaceted talents, was born in Washington to a Spanish family, bringing with him a unique blend of cultures. His academic background in Physics provides a solid foundation for his artistic pursuits. After the passing of his father, Julio embarked on a journey to Hollywood to learn the ins and outs of the film industry.
His early foray into acting was marked by a notable performance in the play "Masque of Poe" (Sacred Fools),directed by Bradley Warden, which received a glowing review from Backstage West. From there, Julio continued to hone his craft, taking on various roles behind the camera as well, including producer, screenwriter, and director of casting, to name a few.
In 2003, Julio returned to his roots in Spain to care for his grandparents, where he continued to work in the industry, landing small roles in TV series such as "Los 80" and "Ceuntame", as well as appearing in a handful of intriguing short films, including "Otra vida", "Chico meets chica", and "La Carta".
Around the same time, Juanma Bajo Ulloa was on the hunt for fresh faces and talented actors for his new film "Fragil". By chance, he stumbled upon Julio's impressive work in an independent American film (likely his standout performance in "Eden's Curve") and offered him the lead role in "Fragil". Julio's career has been on the rise ever since, with his latest project being the upcoming film "La hora fria", where he will be starring alongside Elio Quiroga.
Today, Julio splits his time between Madrid and L.A., where he continues to make a name for himself in the theatre scene, showcasing his impressive range and versatility as an actor.
