Julyza Commodore

Julyza's odyssey in the realm of acting commenced in Newark, Delaware, where she was born, and it was at the tender age of seven that she first contracted the acting bug, which would go on to shape her trajectory. Her inaugural foray into community theatre was a memorable one, as she was cast in the iconic production of Annie, portraying the role of the orphan July with the esteemed Milford Second Street Players. This initial foray into the world of theatre was followed by a performance that would leave a lasting impression on her, as she was cast in the production of Stormy Weather: The Lena Horne Story at the revered Prince Music Theatre in Philadelphia, a role that would mark a significant milestone in her career. In the years that followed, Julyza continued to refine her craft, taking on the role of Oliver in the classic family musical at The Walnut Street Theatre in Philadelphia in 2009. However, it was her television debut, guest starring on Law & Order SVU, that would be a particularly notable milestone in her career, as she played the poignant role of an African sex slave survivor, a performance that would stay with her forever.
