K. A. Thangavelu, a renowned Tamil film comedian, was affectionately known as "Danaal Thangavelu". During his illustrious career spanning from the 1950s to 1985 and beyond, he left an indelible mark on the Tamil film industry.

His comedic talent also shone in films like "Thillana Mohanambal", where he played the role of a nattuvangam master (dance choreographer) to the heroine.
Tragically, K. A. Thangavelu passed away on September 28, 1994, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and joy that continues to entertain audiences to this day.
