Biography

Kadiri Venkata Reddy, a prolific and influential figure in the Indian film industry, was born on July 1, 1912. Throughout his illustrious career, he distinguished himself as a multi-talented individual, exceling as a film director, writer, producer, and production manager in the realm of Telugu cinema.

Reddy's work was characterized by its unique blend of folklore, social issues, and fantasy elements, which not only captivated audiences but also left a lasting impact on the industry. His magnum opus, Maya Bazaar, is widely regarded as a masterpiece, while his 1955 film, Donga Ramudu, has been included in the curriculum of the prestigious Film and Television Institute of India.

On a personal note, Reddy was a devoted family man, leaving behind a legacy of nine children, comprising four sons and five daughters. Tragically, his life was cut short on September 15, 1972, but his contributions to Indian cinema continue to be celebrated and revered to this day.
