Kain Donald Baigent, a multifaceted individual with a rich family heritage, was born in Australia to a Kiwi family. His early beginnings in the world of acting were nurtured by his father, Harold Baigent, a renowned director with a successful career spanning across the UK, NZ, US, and Australia, who had studied at Yale after World War II.
With a late start in life, Kain began his acting career at the age of 28, driven by his own volition, in New Zealand during the 1990s. He honed his skills at the Actors Studio in New York and the Film School in New Zealand, before returning to Australia to pursue his passion for Shakespearean productions in Melbourne. Concurrently, he developed a strong affinity for music.
After a hiatus from acting, Kain revisited his passion for the craft in the early 2000s, making his own films. One biopic, which combined his passion for film and motorcycles, served as a learning curve, leading him to further explore his creative outlets.
In recent years, Kain has been writing a novella in France, which has inspired him to craft a short film screenplay. This creative endeavor has culminated in the production of "Ghosts That Cry in the Dark," a film that has been entered into film festivals in 2019 and 2020.
