Karen Kadler, born Karen Stefanik on November 17, 1934, in Bellevue, Alberta, Canada, was a talented actress of Russian descent.
Growing up in Vancouver, Kadler's passion for the dramatic arts was evident from a young age, as she began pursuing a career in acting at just eleven years old.
Her early stage appearances included a memorable performance as a half a horse in a production of "Through the Looking Glass" at the Victoria York Theatre, showcasing her impressive range and versatility.
Kadler attended the University of British Columbia, where she took a theater course, while also working various jobs to pay for her tuition, including stints at a cannery, plywood factory, and wire rope company.
In addition to her stage work, Kadler was a regular broadcaster on "Vancouver Theatre" and CBC school and sports programs, and was an active member of both the Everyman Repertory Group and Vancouver's Totem Theatre.
Her final Canadian stage appearance was in a production of "Ghost Train" at the Victoria York Theatre, before she went on to act in a handful of films and TV shows in America.
Karen Kadler's life was cut short when she passed away at the age of 54 on November 15, 1984, in Los Angeles, California, leaving behind a daughter and a legacy of her remarkable talent and dedication to the craft.
