Kathleen McClellan is an American actress, model, television host, and former Miss Illinois Teen USA. She is recognized for her roles on Seinfeld, Rattlesnakes, and For Better or For Worse, as well as hosting TLC's For Better or For Worse and her current podcast.
She grew up in Bloomington, Illinois, and was crowned Miss Illinois Teen USA in 1988. She was named Most Photogenic in the National Miss Teen USA Pageant and signed with Elite Model Management, starting her modeling career in Paris.
McClellan's acting career began in the 1990s, when she was encouraged by director Tony Scott and actor Robert Duval to try her luck in Los Angeles. She studied at the Howard Fine Acting school and within three months landed a starring role in the pilot and subsequent Fox Series Hotel Dix.
She is known for her work as a dramatic and comedic actress, fashion model, commercial actress, television personality, spokesperson, and television host. McClellan has starred in numerous commercial campaigns and has been featured in various magazines, including Muscle and Fitness, InStyle, and People.
She has guest-starred on several iconic comedic television shows, including Seinfeld, Murphy Brown, and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. McClellan was the host of TLC's For Better or For Worse and has appeared as herself on various TV shows.
In 2019, McClellan made her comeback in the award-winning film, Rattlesnakes, which she executive produced and starred in alongside Jimmy Jean-Louis and Jack Coleman. The film was shot in her own Montecito home and enjoyed a limited theatrical release.
McClellan has studied with renowned acting coaches, including Howard Fine, Larry Moss, Leslie Kahn, and The Groundlings Theater, and resides in the Los Angeles area with her family.
