Katri Horma, a talented Estonian former actress, was born around 1970. As the daughter of electronics engineer and filmmaker Peet Horma, she was exposed to the creative world from a young age. Her grandfather, sculptor and restorer Paul Horma, further nurtured her artistic inclinations.
Horma's early career in film began with the starring role of Eliise in the 1989 film Metsluiged, directed by Helle Karis and based on the classic Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale The Wild Swans. This was followed by her portrayal of Imbi Tamm in the 1990 historical drama Inimene, keda polnud, directed by Peeter Simm and produced by Tallinnfilm.
In 1991, Horma took on the role of Nastja in the Russian-language film Vozdushnyy potseluy, directed by Abai Karpykov. Two years later, she appeared in the drama Balti armastuslood, directed by Peeter Urbla and produced by Exitfilm, playing the character of Kristiina.
After a successful career in both stage and film, Horma decided to retire from acting and pursue further education. She has since worked in advertising and is currently a PhD student at Tallinn University's Baltic Film, Media, Arts and Communication Institute.
