Keith Mitchell, a talented screenwriter, previously collaborated with Eric Champnella on the basketball comedy film Eddie (1996),starring Whoopi Goldberg. This dynamic duo has also penned several other studio-optioned scripts and co-created the Disney telefilm Mail to the Chief (2000). Mitchell's impressive television credits include the MOW "Nerve" (2000) and the half-hour pilots "Front Office" (2000) and "Hollywood Hills Adjacent" (2000). He is currently working on several projects, including the "Peter Westbrook Project" (Touchstone) and Like Mike 2: Streetball (2006),co-written with Allie Dvorin.
Born and raised in Southgate, Michigan, Mitchell was a standout athlete, lettering in basketball, football, and baseball, and receiving heavy recruitment from numerous major schools. He ultimately accepted a scholarship to the University of Michigan, where he played for legendary coach Bo Schembechler on two Rose Bowl-winning squads.
Today, Mitchell resides in Manhattan Beach, California, with his wife Kimberlee and their two children, Chloe and Kellen.
