Kevin DiNovis, a skilled and accomplished individual, had the privilege of honing his dramatic craft under the guidance of the esteemed Absurdist playwright, Edward Albee, who was honored with the prestigious Pulitzer Prize for his remarkable body of work.

DiNovis's inaugural feature film, "Surrender Dorothy", made its debut in 1998 and went on to receive widespread recognition, including the Grand Jury prize for Best Feature at the esteemed Slamdance, Chicago Underground, and New York Underground Film Festivals.

This critically acclaimed film, hand-picked by the renowned film critic, Roger Ebert, to kick off his Overlooked Film Festival, is distributed by TLA releasing. The DVD version of "Surrender Dorothy" was subsequently praised as one of the "best releases of 2000" by the Internet Movie Data Base, a testament to its enduring quality and impact.

As a result, Kevin DiNovis's debut feature film has left an indelible mark on the world of cinema, solidifying his reputation as a talented and innovative filmmaker.

Notably, he has undertaken the task of adapting Mary Higgins Clark's renowned thriller, Loves Music, Loves to Dance, for the esteemed USA Networks. DiNovis has collaborated with esteemed producer and former Paramount President Frank Yablans on a film adaptation of the highly acclaimed non-fiction book Soul Surfer, which recounts the remarkable true story of 13-year-old professional surfer Bethany Hamilton's courageous journey to regain her passion for the sport after suffering a devastating loss, including the amputation of her arm, following a shark attack. Additionally, DiNovis has penned scripts for Yablans, including the sweeping biopic The Bellringer, which brings to life the extraordinary tale of William and Catherine Booth, the pioneering nineteenth-century social reformers who founded the iconic Salvation Army, and The One-Minute Millionaire, a romantic comedy loosely inspired by the eponymous book written by renowned self-help guru Mark Victor Hansen.

Noted in the year 2009, DiNovis made history by being the inaugural writer chosen to spearhead Marvel Studios' Writers Program, marking a significant milestone in the esteemed publisher's illustrious history.

In the capacity of a writer, DiNovis undertook the challenging task of adapting not one, but two feature-length films, as well as a short subject, for the iconic "House of Ideas", a testament to their versatility and skill.
