Kidada Jones grew up in the affluent neighborhood of Bel Air, where her residence was frequently visited by renowned celebrities such as the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, and the legendary basketball player, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. From a young age, Kidada struggled with an identity crisis due to her mixed heritage, being the child of an African-American father and an Ashkenazi Jewish mother. This internal conflict led to her being expelled from an astonishing 11 schools before the age of 15, largely due to her behavior issues stemming from her difficulty in fitting in with her peers.
As she entered adulthood, Kidada's personal life took a dramatic turn when she began dating the iconic rapper, Tupac Shakur. Tragically, Tupac was assassinated on his way to pick her up, an event that had a profound impact on Kidada. In a poignant tribute, she had his face tattooed on her arm just three days after his passing.
Despite the challenges she faced, Kidada has successfully carved out a name for herself in the entertainment industry. She made her film debut in the 1998 horror movie, The Faculty, playing the role of Venus, the on-screen girlfriend of R&B sensation, Usher. Off-screen, Kidada is close friends with Usher and also shares a bond with the late singer, Aaliyah. Although her scenes were ultimately deleted from the final cut of The Faculty, Kidada appeared in the 1999 films, Black & White, alongside Brooke Shields, and Thicker Than Water.
In addition to her rising movie career, Kidada has also made a name for herself as a model for the prestigious fashion brand, Tommy Hilfiger. She has appeared in numerous advertisements and commercials, showcasing her versatility and charm.
In her free time, Kidada enjoys playing practical jokes on her friends and family, but confesses to being a drama queen when acting.
