In New York City, documentary filmmakers Sam and Terry follow a group of Caucasian teens as they try to fit in with Harlem's black hip-hop crowd. The group, including Raven, Charlie, Will, Marty, and Wren, navigate their relationships with gangster rapper Rich Bower and his music partner Cigar, who are seeking a recording gig. Meanwhile, college basketball player Dean is torn between taking a fall in a game for shady gambler Mark Clear, who has ulterior motives for Dean and Rich.
