Kim Albright is a renowned Canadian-British-Filipina film director, celebrated for her outstanding contributions to the film industry. Her journey began with a degree in architecture from Montreal, which ultimately led her to relocate to London. Her impressive credentials were recognized by the British Film Institute (BFI),selecting her as part of the prestigious Upshot Program, which showcases the most exciting emerging UK filmmaking talent.
Throughout her career, Kim's short films have garnered numerous awards and international recognition, featuring at prominent festivals such as the BAFTA-qualifying Encounters Film Festival, the BFI London Film Festival, and the British Independent Film Festival.
Kim's impressive academic background includes her status as an alumna of the Canadian Film Centre Directors Lab, the Canadian Academy Director's Program for Women, and Women In the Director's Chair (WIDC) Story & Leadership. Furthermore, she is a recipient of the esteemed CBC Films WIDC Talent Development Award and the WIDC Feature Film Award.
Kim's debut feature film, With Love And A Major Organ, received significant funding from Telefilm and the Women In The Director’s Chair Feature Film Award. The film made its world premiere at the highly acclaimed SXSW 2023.
