Kimberly Jayne "Kim" Raver is a renowned American actress born in New York City. With a career spanning over three decades, she is predominantly recognized for her outstanding performances in three iconic television roles.
As a child actress, Raver made her television debut in 1975 on the long-running educational children's series "Sesame Street" (1969-). She regularly appeared in the show from 1975 to 1978.
In the early 1990s, Raver decided to pursue an acting career, initially acting in television commercials for several years. Her breakthrough role came in 1995 when she made her Broadway debut in the play "Holiday" by Philip Barry.
Raver's portrayal of Kimberly "Kim" Zambrano in the police procedural "Third Watch" (1999-2005) marked her first significant character in television. She then went on to play Audrey Raines in several seasons of the crime thriller series #24 (2001-2010) and Dr. Theodora Grace "Teddy" Altman in the medical drama "Grey's Anatomy" (2005-).
