Biography

Lars-Magnus Lindgren, a Swedish film director and screenwriter of great repute, was born on the third day of July in the year 1922. He would go on to leave an indelible mark on the world of cinema, his creative endeavors earning him widespread recognition and acclaim. Among his most notable works is the film "Dear John", a cinematic masterpiece released in 1964 that garnered a nomination for the prestigious Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. In addition to his impressive repertoire, Lindgren also directed the 1968 film "Black Palm Trees" [sv], a cinematic adaptation of Peder Sjögren's 1944 novel of the same name.
