Laura Harrier, a native of Chicago, made the bold decision to relocate to New York to pursue her passion for drama, little did she know that this move would be the catalyst for her big break.
Following her relocation, Harrier was discovered by renowned filmmaker Steve McQueen, who saw immense potential in the young actress and offered her a role in his HBO pilot.
However, it was her breakout role as 'Liz Allan' in Sony Pictures' "Spider-Man: Homecoming" that catapulted her to international stardom, with the film's massive success solidifying her position as a rising star in Hollywood.
In addition to her work in "Spider-Man: Homecoming," Harrier has also impressed audiences with her portrayal of 'Camille Washington' in Ryan Murphy's Netflix original series "Hollywood," a young black actress struggling to make it as a leading lady in Hollywood during the 1940s.
Harrier's talent was further showcased in Spike Lee's award-winning film "BlacKkKlansman," alongside John David Washington and Adam Driver, earning six Academy Award nominations, including a Best Picture nomination, and the coveted Grand Prix Award at the Cannes Film Festival.
Furthermore, Harrier has also received critical acclaim for her role as Robin Givens in Hulu's limited series "Mike," opposite Trevante Rhodes as Mike Tyson, executive produced by LuckyChap's Tom Ackerley and Margot Robbie.
Most recently, Harrier appeared alongside Jack Harlow in 20th Century Studios' remake of the iconic 1992 film "White Men Can't Jump," directed by Kalmatic and produced by Kenya Barris, which premiered on Hulu on May 19, 2023.
Currently residing in Los Angeles, Harrier has solidified her status as a talented and versatile actress, with a career that continues to flourish and evolve with each new project.
