Lauren Gottlieb is an American-born dancer and actress who initially gained recognition when she became a contestant on Season 3 of the FOX Network's reality series So You Think You Can Dance in 2005. Her impressive skills and dedication earned her a spot among the final six contestants, and she was later asked to return to the show in various capacities, including as a choreographer for the audition rounds in Season 5 and as an All-Star for Seasons 7-9.
This early success was a significant milestone in her career, as the show's global reach, airing in over 100 countries, caught the attention of a director in India who wanted Lauren to star in the country's first ever 3D dance film, AnyBody Can Dance (ABCD). The film was a huge hit across India, and Lauren went on to live and work in the country for the next decade.
During her time in India, Lauren continued to act in four films, star in over a dozen hit music videos, and transitioned from a contestant to a judge on India's version of Dancing with the Stars: Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa (Strictly Come Dancing).
Lauren has also had the opportunity to perform with some of the biggest names in the industry, including Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Britney Spears, Shakira, Sean Kingston, Carrie Underwood, Willow Smith, and Enrique Iglesias. Her film credits include Hannah Montana: The Movie (2009),Disaster Movie (2008),and Bring It on: Fight to the Finish (2009).
In addition to her work in film and television, Lauren has also had the privilege of serving as a private dance coach to some of the biggest celebrities in the business, including Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes, and Tobey Maguire. She was also a featured dancer on the award-winning musical comedy Glee (2009) in the hit rival crew "VocalAdrenaine" for six episodes.
Lauren has also acted in the films Twisted Blues, Ambarsariya, Welcome 2 Karachi, and Guest Starred on ABC Family's Make It or Break It (2009) and CBS series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000) and CBS: Ghost Whisperer. She even took on the Chipmunks in an epic dance battle in Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (2011).
