Leesa, the daughter of an artist and a college professor, was born and raised in the vibrant city of Austin, Texas, where she was exposed to the world of art and academia from a young age.
She pursued her passion for storytelling by studying broadcast journalism at Texas Tech University, while also honing her acting skills at the renowned Stella Adler Studio in Los Angeles, California.
Leesa's breakthrough role came as Victoria in Troma Entertainment's cult classic, Class of Nuke 'Em High Parts 2 and 3, which catapulted her to fame and earned her a devoted fan base. She reprised her role in Return to Nuke 'Em High, cementing her status as a Troma Entertainment icon.
In addition to her work with Troma, Leesa appeared in the television series Troma's Edge alongside Lloyd Kaufman and Debbie Rochon. She also co-starred in Travis Campbell's critically acclaimed film, Slaughter Daughter, as Phyllis Adjani, an eccentric mother who drives her daughter to the brink of insanity. The movie won the best feature film award at the 7th Annual Freak Show Film Festival in Orlando.
Leesa's impressive resume also includes a web series called Two City Girls, co-starring fellow Troma actress Lisa Gaye, as well as an appearance on Oxygen's Jersey Couture.
However, Leesa's true passion lies in animal advocacy, a cause she has been dedicated to for most of her life. She has been a vegan since a young age and has been actively involved with the national non-profit organization Last Chance for Animals since 1989.
In 1989, Leesa founded and became the president of the New York-based non-profit organization Animal Ashram, which is dedicated to promoting animal welfare and protecting endangered species. Her tireless efforts have made a significant impact in the animal rights movement, and she continues to be a beacon of hope for those fighting for the rights of animals.
