Les Brandt was born and raised on the vast Great Plains of Amarillo, Texas, specifically in the northernmost region near the historic Palo Duro Canyon. His childhood was filled with musical aspirations, as he was a member of the choir from 7th grade to 11th grade, singing as a 1st Tenor. He even dreamed of pursuing a singing career.
After graduating from high school, Brandt began his acting journey, crediting his early training to mentor Adam Roarke at The Film Actors Lab in Dallas, Texas. He continued his education at the prestigious American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City, New York, and later honed his craft at Larry Moss/Edgemar Studio and The Groundlings in Los Angeles, California, studying under Michelle Danner.
Throughout his illustrious career, Brandt has made numerous guest appearances on network shows and movies, showcasing his versatility as an actor. He has also built a strong commercial work history, working with some of the most recognizable brands, advertising agencies, directors, and actors. His latest project saw him star alongside Oscar-winning actress Julianne Moore in a national L'Oreal campaign, alongside Helen Mirren, Jane Fonda, Isabelle Adjani, Iris Berben, and Vanessa Williams.
Brandt's impressive portfolio includes work with top brands such as The Home Depot, Old Spice, Coca-Cola, McDonald's, Scott's Lawn, Yoplait GoGurt, and Nissan, featuring Blake Shelton. He has also collaborated with Oscar-winning director John Mathieson (Gladiator) and director Daniel Kleinman on an international spot for Monster.com.
In 1995, Brandt made his daytime television debut with a three-year contract on the NBC soap opera "Another World," based in New York. He later became a recurring cast member on the NBC soap opera "Days of Our Lives" in Los Angeles, California.
In his personal life, Brandt is married to Nicole Tia Brandt and has two baby girls. He is an avid animal lover and dedicates his free time to supporting local rescue organizations. Brandt is also drawn to Taoism, is a vegetarian, and has a passion for motorcycles, classical music, and heavy metal. He prioritizes physical fitness, having worked out 3 to 4 days a week every week, every month, every year since July 1987.
