Liina Tennosaar entered this world on the twenty-third of May, nineteen hundred and sixty-five, in the beautiful city of Tallinn, Estonia, a place where the Baltic Sea meets the charm of Northern Europe. Born to Kalmer Tennosaar, a renowned Estonian journalist, singer, and television personality, who has left an indelible mark on the Estonian entertainment industry, particularly through his iconic hosting of the beloved children's television series Entel-Tentel. Liina's mother, Sirje Tennosaar (née Arbi),was also a talented actress, having graced the stages, screens, and cameras of Estonia's thriving performing arts scene.

Liina's educational journey began with her attendance at primary and secondary schools in Tallinn, where she spent formative years laying the foundation for her future endeavors. Upon completing her secondary education in 1982, she went on to pursue her passion for acting at the esteemed Tallinn State Conservatory, specifically at the Performing Arts Department, which has since undergone a name change and is now recognized as the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Liina's academic tenure at the conservatory spanned a period of four years, concluding with her graduation in 1986.
