Lily's journey as an actress began at the tender age of six, with a return to the film industry at sixteen in Marilyn Manson's adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. She then took on the female lead in Terry Gilliam's The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus in 2009, marking the start of a prolific career working with esteemed directors such as Sally Potter, Shekhar Kapur, Roland Joffe, Mary Harron, and Rian Johnson.
Throughout her career, Lily has graced the stages of the Globe theatre and The Old Vic theatre, demonstrating her versatility as a performer. In addition to her acting pursuits, Lily has also ventured into the world of television, writing and presenting a six-part series on contemporary art for Sky Arts, as well as shooting photography and directing her first short film, Wild Rubber, in 2012.
Lily's work has been recognized by notable photographers and artists, including Steven Meisel and Gilliam Wearing. She holds the distinction of being the youngest model to appear on the cover of British Vogue and was listed by French Vogue as one of the top 30 models of the 2000s.
As a passionate advocate for sociopolitical and environmental issues, Lily has employed a range of mediums to build awareness and encourage dialogue, including technology, writing, filmmaking, and public speaking. Her academic pursuits led her to earn a First Class BA in History of Art from Cambridge University in 2011.
In 2013, Lily co-founded Impossible.com, a technology company dedicated to using technology to solve social and environmental problems. She has also spoken at esteemed events such as Davos, Google's Zeitgeist, Wired, and Web Summit, and holds an Honorary Doctor of Letters from GCU.
Lily is a patron of the EJF and has worked extensively with WWF, demonstrating her commitment to environmental and social causes. She is a prolific writer, frequently contributing to national and international press, and has published her first book, 'Impossible Utopias', which was originally submitted as her undergraduate thesis.
