Born and raised in Stuart, Florida, the talented actress Godfrey embarked on her acting journey in high school, swiftly securing a talent agency's attention. In 2005, she made the bold move to Los Angeles, eager to audition for various roles and seize the opportunities that came her way.
One of her initial significant parts was a recurring role on the TV show Surface, which premiered in the same year. However, her promising career was suddenly put on hold when she was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2006. Despite the setback, Godfrey persevered, and after seven months of treatment, she returned to Los Angeles, ready to resume her acting endeavors.
Following her successful cancer treatment, Godfrey landed guest roles on popular shows such as Cold Case and CSI: Miami. Although her career had faced a temporary halt, she continued to work towards her goals, eventually landing the prestigious role of Caroline Spencer on the daytime drama The Bold and the Beautiful in 2012.
Tragedy struck again in 2015 when Godfrey was involved in a serious automobile accident, being struck by a moving car while walking on the sidewalk in Los Angeles. The real-life events were later incorporated into the series, as her character Caroline Spencer experienced the same accident, albeit off-screen.
Throughout her career, Godfrey has shared her personal life with fellow actor Robert Adamson, who plays Noah Newman on The Young and the Restless. The couple was engaged and had a daughter born in 2014, adding to the joys and challenges that come with being a working actress.
