Lisa's short films, particularly the festival-favorite Head Stand, played a significant role in launching her filmmaking career, screening at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Tribeca, and Telluride. Her extensive experience in the industry has also led to her directing over 20 episodes of television, earning her recognition for her ability to elevate actors' performances and craft dynamic action sequences.

Born and raised on both coasts, Lisa's exposure to a diverse range of cinematic influences has shaped her unique perspective as a filmmaker. While earning her BA in film studies at UC Berkeley, she had the opportunity to work on the visual effects of legendary films like Jurassic Park as an apprentice editor at Lucasfilm and was immersed in experimental high-art films as a projectionist at the Pacific Film Archive.
