Lucy Wigmore is a multifaceted and accomplished artist, boasting a diverse range of skills and experiences across the screen and stage. With a strong educational foundation from Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School, she has spent years honing her craft in various productions throughout New Zealand and Australia.
Throughout her career, Lucy has taken on a wide array of roles, showcasing her remarkable versatility as an actor. Notable highlights include her portrayal of the lead character in a national touring production of The Women, as well as her development of a solo show, Salon 71. Her impressive range is further demonstrated by her performances in productions such as Look Back In Anger, where she played the role of Helena under the direction of Miranda Harcourt.
In addition to her work on stage, Lucy has also made a significant impact in the world of television. She joined the core cast of the long-running New Zealand drama Shortland Street in 2007, playing the role of Dr. Justine Jones for three consecutive years. Following her move to Sydney, she worked with renowned director Sarah Goodes at Belvoir St Theatre before landing a core cast role in the cult Australian series Underbelly: Razor as Detective Lillian Armfield. Her impressive television credits also include starring roles in Love Child as Carol Figgins, Westside, The Bad Seed, and The Brokenwood Mysteries.
Most recently, Lucy has appeared in the breakout comedy Good Grief and the Netflix productions Falling Inn Love and Choose Love.
Beyond her work as an actor, Lucy is also a talented writer, director, and producer. Her extensive portfolio includes a range of projects, from short films such as Stationary, Sign Language, and Reunited, to a music video for Gin Wigmore (Willing To Die) and a theatre production, Salon 71. Her work has also extended to the realm of commercial production, with an award-winning road safety commercial that went viral, Embrace Life. Lucy is currently developing two feature films and writing for the popular NZ television series Shortland Street.
