Madis Kalmet

Madis Kalmet, a renowned Estonian thespian and theatrical maestro, embarked on his illustrious career on January 27, 1955. Following his graduation from the esteemed Tallinn State Conservatory's Stage Art Department in 1980, Kalmet's professional journey unfolded in the following manner: between 1980 and 1985, he honed his acting skills, thereafter serving as the principal stage manager of Rakvere Theatre from 1985 to 1988. The subsequent years, from 1989 to 1992, saw Kalmet reprise his role as an actor, only to ascend to the position of theatre director at Endla Theatre, a tenure that spanned from 1992 to 1999.
