Egyptian actor, born in the esteemed city of Port Said, commenced his journey by obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in law from the prestigious Ain Shams University in 1964. Prior to pursuing his passion for acting, he embarked on a career as a lawyer, before eventually joining the National Theater after passing his own exams and declining an offer to work in his hometown of Port Said. During this period, he participated in numerous plays, including the notable productions of "Suleiman Al-Halabi Leila and Majnun", "Zeer Salem", and others.
As the 1970s of the 20th century arrived, he rose to prominence as a leading star in romantic films, with some of his most notable works including "The Thin Thread", "The Story of a Girl Named Marmar", "Love and Pride", and "The Bullet is Still in My Pocket". In the era of the 1990s and the early21st century, his workload significantly increased in television, although he did not entirely relinquish his presence in cinema. Some of his notable television productions from this period include "Abu Hanifa al-Numan", "Against the Current", "Souk Al-Asr", and "Disobedience".
