Maiara Walsh is a multifaceted individual who has excelled in various creative fields, including acting, directing, writing, singing, and art. Born in Seattle, Washington to a Brazilian mother and an American father, Maiara was exposed to a rich cultural heritage from a young age. This diverse upbringing sparked her interest in music and the arts, leading her to explore every creative outlet available to her.
Maiara began her acting career in 2006 with a role on Disney Channel's Cory in the House. She went on to appear in numerous hit shows, including The Vampire Diaries, Desperate Housewives, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Switched at Birth, The Last Ship, Criminal Minds, Notorious, Zombieland, and Good Trouble. In 2022, she relocated to Brazil to star in the acclaimed series Reis.
Beyond her acting pursuits, Maiara is a creative force to be reckoned with. She has written feature films and television scripts, and in 2017, she directed her first narrative sci-fi short film, Young Blood. The short film premiered at various film festivals, earning her the Best Director award at the Jelly Film Festival in Los Angeles. In 2023, Maiara made her directorial debut with a psychological thriller, starring Cameron Cowperthwaite and Mark Hapka, whom she co-wrote the script with.
