Mana's journey in the world of acting began when she was just three years old, with her mother guiding her towards a career in the entertainment industry. Her first role came in 2009, and she quickly made a name for herself in the Japanese television scene. In 2010, she appeared in the TV show "Mother" on Nippon Television Network Corporation, playing the role of a 7-year-old girl. Despite being only 5 years old at the time, the director was so impressed with her that he adjusted the script to suit her abilities.
Mana's big break came in 2011 when she was given the lead role in the historical drama "Sayonara Bokutachi No Youchien" ("Good-bye Our Kindergarten"),making her the youngest lead actress in Japanese TV history at just six years old. She also appeared in the popular TV series "Marumo No Okite" ("Marumo's Rule"),where she sang the theme song "Maru Maru Mori Mori" which became a Top 10 hit.
In addition to her television work, Mana also made her debut in the movie industry in 2011, starring in the film "Ghost" and winning the Rookie Of The Year Award at the 34th Japan Academy Awards. She also branched out into voice-over work, dubbing foreign films into Japanese. Her impressive performance earned her the youngest person to win the Japan's Blue Ribbon Award.
In 2011, Mana also became the host of the talk-show "Meringue No Kimochi", making her the youngest talk or variety show hostess ever in Japan. She also signed with Universal Music, releasing a single and an album, and supported her music career by giving concerts in 2012. Additionally, she appeared in the Hollywood movie "Pacific Rim" and won the Celebrity Kids Edition of the Japanese version of the contest "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire".
In her free time, Mana enjoys reading and riding a unicycle. She is an avid reader and has been reading since she was four years old, devouring up to 60 books a month from kindergarten. Her fans affectionately call her "Mana-chan", and she is represented by the JobbyKids agency.
