Manuel Enrique Urrego, a multifaceted individual, was born on a cattle ranch in rural Colombia, where his early life was marked by a strong connection to the land.
At the tender age of eight, Manuel's life took a significant turn when he moved to Queens, New York City, with his recently widowed mother. This pivotal moment in his life would set the stage for his future endeavors, as he continued his education in the bustling metropolis.
Manuel's academic pursuits took him to Arizona State University, where he majored in theater and dance. During his time at the university, he had the opportunity to work on several notable projects, including the remake of A Star is Born, directed by the renowned Jon Peters, and The Other Side of the Wind, the final film of the legendary Orson Welles.
After completing his education, Manuel went on to pursue a career in dance, performing professionally for nine years. His impressive resume includes stints with the Arizona Ballet Theater and The Stars of American Ballet.
However, Manuel's passion for the performing arts soon led him back to film and television. In 1995, he began studying under the tutelage of Milton Katselas at the Beverly Hill Playhouse, a relationship that would span an impressive 11 years.
In addition to his extensive experience in the entertainment industry, Manuel has also ventured into education, launching thestudio, an LA-based scene study acting school, in 2019. This venture serves as a testament to his commitment to nurturing the talents of aspiring actors.
Outside of his professional endeavors, Manuel is a devoted father of three children and resides in Los Angeles.
