Marc Carreté, a visionary filmmaker, hails from the vibrant city of Barcelona, where he first drew breath in 1970. As a passionate individualist, he has made a name for himself as an independent producer and director, solidifying his status within the esteemed Catalan Film Academy.
His academic pursuits took him down a dual path, as he concurrently earned degrees in Audiovisuals and Business Administration (MBA). This unique combination of skills has served him well in his professional journey, allowing him to effortlessly transition between the worlds of advertising and filmmaking.
For years, Carreté has collaborated with some of Spain's most renowned advertising agencies, honing his craft and refining his artistic vision. However, it was in 2015 that he decided to take the leap and establish his own production company, "Creatures of the Dark". This bold move marked the beginning of a new chapter in his career, as he dedicated himself to developing and producing a series of indie horror films that would leave a lasting impact on the cinematic landscape.
